Image It is highly possible for you to run up and down and get busy through the entire day for nothing. It tells that as the day ends, you can’t account for any god result or remember having done something peculiar with your business.

Time has been an effective tool in all the areas of human endeavour such that people who misused it had themselves to blame. There are 60 seconds in one minutes and 60 minutes in one hour all making the total of 86,400 seconds in a day. What makes you to waste almost all those uncountable seconds when you get up in the morning? How will you stop wasting your precious time and focus on making every second count to make you live a well balance life?

Here are seven (7) general keys to guide and direct you to make absolute steps and manage your time effectively so as to enjoy thee treasures of every 24 hours in a day!

1. Plan your day before it begins:

Everyone have an equal share of the 86,400 seconds in each day, but the complains that some people give in statements like “the time is not enough” would make you to imagine whether they have spent part of their lives in someone else’s body.

Planning for the next day must begin from the current night. Spend the night drawing the following day’s plans and spend the day following the previous night’s plans. This will prevent you from detraction by unwanted, unnecessary and irrelevant programmes that may be calling for your attention. In planning, you must prioritize; first things first. There is a great difference between important things and urgent needs. Put the most urgent first and deal with your tasks effectively!

2. Be your own clock, alerting yourself:

As you work on one task, ensure you beat the deadline with time by competing against the clock. Keep alerting yourself of how long you have kept on the task and work harder to meet the demands of your set time. This does not mean that you rush to make things get done anyhow. Be patient to do the best, but circumspect and determined enough to travel and sail.

Don’t pretend there is more time; work as if there is no more time on your side. Aim at reaching the peak of your performance, not wasting any single second of a working hour!

3. Take a good and rewarding rest and sleep

The purpose of sleep and rest is to re-make (re-create) you by restoring the physical strength you lost by means of a hard work. By that purpose, we can say lazy people do not need rest because they have never lost any strength that would need to be replaced. A rest is said to be rewarding if it fulfills its purpose of activating a weak body. Anything other than that is ‘a waste of time’. A person who takes too excessive rest may have a fraction of his rests periods functionless! Don’t overwork yourself trough stress. Work must bring happiness, not stress. Rest is like re-sharpening the tip of a pencil; it gains it’s sharpen point back.

4. Develop a compelling concentration:

What someone may do within 30 minutes may be done by another person in 2 hours. Many factors contribute to spending too much time on a  little task ,one of these factor is ‘lack of concentration’ when you concentrate on a task all your skills, minds and attention are channeled through one common route and you will get done what you want to do . Don’t let phone calls, TV jingles and unexpected visits of friends progressively detach you from what you do. When it’s time for work, remember it’s time for work. When it’s time for rest, it’s time for rest. You can’t mix rest with work within the same time. It will only cause inefficiency in both. When you are at work, at school, in the kitchen, at the office or wherever, concentrate on that task.

5. Learn how to multi-task;

Multi-tasking is effective when all the individual tasks involved are parallel. When there is no commonness among their identities, multi-tasking becomes time destructing. An instance where multitasking is effective is when a person group bathing, brushing of teeth, and visitation of toilet together within a scheduled period of time. It may also be done in running an errand duty when you collectively group identical activities to save time. Multi-tasking is however not effective in non-identical tasks. A person cannot be typing, watching television and making phone calls at the same time. He may loss the benefit of all

6. Make every minute count;

To make every minute count in your life, you must not push to tomorrow what you can do today; watch out for the two thieves

1.      A wasted yesterday and

2.      A Stressful tomorrow.

Many people miss their accomplishments and hopes for a fulfilled life because they crucify themselves on the cross in between those two thieves. They are the cause of repeated failure and obtain their source from excuses and procrastination. No wonder procrastination is tagged as a thief of time. Excuses make you to get slippery answers to why you won’t do something and that makes you to waste the day. Procrastination on the other hand assists you in pushing yesterday’s talk to today until you have a loaded reservoir of tasks to lift stress is the next employee. Get down from that cross. Make every moment count.

7. Review your day;

Tomorrow begins from today; today is an ever passing opportunity to begin what will be done tomorrow. For this reason, plan tomorrow effectively, have an account of how you spent today. Know the mistakes you made in the day and how you can eliminate them in the next day. Reviews are exceptionally good because they make you improve on upon every action you take till you become an expert. You are likely to repeat a failed method if they are not properly reviewed.

Time they say is money. Wasting time is just like wasting money.  Ignorantly people grieve most when they lose their money, but they do not care when they waste their time. A simple lesson to take from here is that time is even more precious than money, because it is time that produces ‘money’. You cannot be greater than your source (God). Money cannot be greater than its source (good time management). Those who waste their time must however weep more than they would do if they should have their money lost. Attempt every good effort to make the best use of time and you will ever live so well.
